THREE games into the Trafford Companies All Stars' (TCAS) Summer Football League season it is the FC CDL who top the table with seven points.

However, league new boys UKFast FC did not make it easy for them in last weekend's big fixture.

The opening 20 minutes were evenly balanced with chances falling to both teams.

But it needed an excellent through ball from veteran midfielder Rob Houghton, which John Littlefair latched on to and calmly slotted home, to give CDL the lead.

Within five minutes UKFast had equalised when an unchallenged Ben Holden picked his spot from 25 yards and drove an unstoppable strike into the bottom corner leaving CDL goalkeeper Nick Sanchez stranded.

Full of confidence UKFast piled on the pressure, and when the CDL defence failed to clear the box Alec Fowler took advantage and struck home from 15 yards to give his team a 2-1 lead.

A neat finish from Danny Leibrick drew the teams level at half time and early in the second half Littlefair bagged his second of the game to once again put CDL in front.

As the midfield battle heated up, CDL received a free kick on the edge of the area which Leibrick netted to give his side a 4-2 lead with 15 minutes remaining.

Substitute Will Pullman came off the bench and gave UKFast some hope by showing great composure to score his second of the season, but with just five minutes left on the clock it all came a little too late and CDL picked up all three points with a 4-3 win.
