ALTRINCHAM Athletico Junior Football Club Under-13s are the 2016 Manchester Cup winners.
The youngsters, who are sponsored by Altrincham restaurant Bem Brasil, clinched the trophy after beating Failsworth West Tigers on penalties 3-1 after a tense 1-1 draw in the final – Alfie Johnston the Athletico scorer during the game.
The Manchester Cup brings together the best teams in the Greater Manchester region at u13s' level and Athletico navigated through five rounds to make it to the final where they became the first Altrincham Juniors team to lift the trophy.
The celebrations took place at Bem Brasil where the winners had their picture taken with Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, who happened to be dining there at the time.
