MANCHESTER Giants couldn’t make it back-to-back wins with visitors Leeds Force claiming a 91-76 at the Sportsdome on Sunday.

Kwan Waller led the way with a 26-point haul for the visitors as they used a strong second quarter to power clear for the win – their first since November 13.

Former Giant Rob Marsden was a handful inside and added 17 points while Callum Jones and Stefan Gill led the home team effort with 16 apiece and Ingus Bankevics bagged 12.

There was nothing between the two sides after an even first quarter as they were tied at 21.

However, Leeds began to pull away in the second period with a 12-3 run opening up a 10-point lead.

Their advantage grew to 15 by half-time as the visitors had racked up 32 points in the second quarter.

They continued to build on their lead in the second half, moving ahead by more than 20 points at one stage.

The home side managed to reduce their arrears and kept battling until the final buzzer but still suffered a double-digit loss.

Giants are on home soil again on Sunday when they kick off 2016 against Cheshire Phoenix, tip off 6pm.
