MANCHESTER Giants endured a tough night in Sheffield but came out on top 91-70 against the Sharks.

After winning on the road in London last time out, Yorick Williams' men found the Sharks a tough nut to crack on their own court.

TJ Robinson was hard to handle, scoring a game-high 24 and taking 13 rebounds.

The Giants fought hard but went 26-15 down in the first quarter and by 47-31 by half-time.

The Sharks went into the fourth period 75-51 and the gap proved too wide.

Ingus Bankevics and Callum Jones hit 14 points apiece for the Giants.

It was the Giants' second consecutive win as they defeated the Lions 90-82.

In that tie, they did not have it all their own way as they had to come from behind to win the thriller at the Copper Box.

The Lions took the first quarter 27-16 but Williams’ men pulled it back to level it at 45-45 at half-time.

The home team inched ahead again to take a 64-56 lead into the final period but the Giants turned it round with a 12-0 run and grabbed a late lead which they held on to.

Sam Attah led the Giants’ scoring with 17 with Stefan Gill (16), Williams (15), Bankevics (14) and Nathan Schall (10) all in double figures.
