SALE Sharks skipper Dan Braid believes the AJ Bell Stadium side have to put their disappointing 40-3 defeat at Saracens behind them .

The AJ Bell Stadium side take on Worcester Warriors and they will determined to get off the mark in the Aviva Premiership against Dean Ryan's side.

He said: "They have good coaches in place, they have recruited well after winning the play off final against Bristol at the end of last season.

"Their win over Saints was well deserved in that they all played as a team and played for one another. Friday will be tough and we need to be on the top of our game and not gift them penalties or points."

Reflecting on the loss to the champions Saracens paid tribute to Mark McCall's team.

He said:"It was a typical Saracens performance, physical and intense but we helped them by gifting them points and conceding penalties.

"We have gone through where we went wrong and we, as a squad understand it was a poor performance which we need to put behind us and focus on the next 21 games starting this Friday."
