BROADHEATH Central continued their fine early season form in defence of their title with a 4-0 home victory against Sale Amateurs showing once again they are the team to beat.

Liam Lloyd, Josh O’Neil, Reece Thompson and Tyler Williams were the respective scorers.

Meanwhile, Kartel Sports had a 1-0 half time home lead courtesy of James Curzon overturned in the second half thanks to Railway Hale’s super subs.

Matt Statham equalised then sub Dan Slack gave Railway the lead.

Scott Barlow replied for Kartel to level the game at 2-2 before Dan Slack helped himself to a second and fellow sub Charles Rix increased the lead for a 4-2 Away win for Railway.

Old Altrinchamians earned a narrow 3-2 home win against Sale United having held a 2-1 half time lead, Craig Clow scoring both for the visitors.

George FC’s injured ravished start to the season continued losing more players prior to kick off.

Down to their fourth choice keeper and six regular outfield starters missing Club AZ’s quality showed with slick passing and near total domination.

With a healthy 4-0 half time lead George rallied slightly, helped by a red card for the home side who went on to add a fifth and run out 5-0 winners thanks to a Scott Meszaros hat-trick and one apiece from Jake McGarry and Jack Heppell.

In the only other Division One game Altrincham Hale were 4-3 home winners against Moorlands.

In Division Two, Prestbury are the only unbeaten side following a 2-1 home victory against Unicorn.

Flixton were shell shocked in the second half away to Sale United Reserves during a goal fest.

Having held a 3-1 half time lead Seven 2nd half goals saw Sale flip the fixture on its head and run out 7-4 winners.

APFC played host to Broadheath Central Reserves in a close match that ended with a narrow 4-3 win for the home side.

Goals for Ryan Conroy, Neil Darlington and Connor Dearn of Broadheath weren’t enough as Andy Chapman scored a brace, Alex Bright and Nick Risi also chipping in for the win.

Northenden Victoria picked up their first win with a comfortable 4-1 home win to Wythenshawe Celtic.

In the divisions other fixture a Lewis Frazer penalty gave Lacey Green the lead at home before a scrambled equaliser for Altrincham Hale Reserves right before the break left the game level at half time.

Alty Hale then forced another home and looked to be heading for the win before Mike Teagle scored the Lacey Green equaliser for a share of the spoils.
