MANAGER Tom Baker believes his Trafford side created problems for themselves during a disappointing weekend for the Shawe View side.

They crashed out of the Emirates FA Cup preliminary round losing to Witton Albion on Saturday and then a defeat in the league to Warrington on Bank Holiday Monday both to 2-1 scorelines were down to defensive errors.

He said: "It was a really disappointing weekend for us.

"The most frustrating thing was both games we could have won.

"Against Witton the first goal was a bad mistake from us and obviously goals change games then we missed a open net then we had a stonewall penalty turned down by the referee.

"We conceded early in the second half and then pulled one goal back but we had some fantastic chances to score and win.

"We are creating our own problems in defence.

"I wanted a reaction from the lads against Warrington and to a certain extent we got that.

"We conceded a freak goal straight from the corner and it was a real kick in the teeth.

"The goals could have been avoided at the weekend and it is something we are going to have to work on."

Trafford face another double-header next week with ties against Ossett Town and Bamber Bridge FC.

Baker said: "They are going to be two tough games and we have to be at our best to get wins."
