URMSTON take on league leaders Sale at the UCG this weekend, knowing a victory keeps them in the promotion race from Division One of the Cheshire League Division One.

Chris Turner's side pulled off an impressive six wicket victory against third-placed Oulton Park.

The Parkinson brothers Callum and Matt were at it again spearheading their challenge with bat and ball.

Oulton Park batted first and were all out for 157 thanks to Callum (5-64) and Matt (4-49).

In reply, Urmston started slowly with Callum Turner out for a duck while fellow opener Chris Turner got the ball rolling with 34.

Callum Parkinson was unbeaten on 65 while Lewis Jackson (22) and Matt Parkinson (21) also reached double figures.

Urmston reached their target for the loss of just four wickets and in 44.4 overs.

Urmston currently lie in fifth spot – 33 points adrift of second-placed Timperley.

Elsewhere, it was a disappointing weekend for the club as the second team lost by nine wickets by Chester Boughton Hall 2nd team.

Urmston batted first with Bilaal Hanif impressing with 52 as they were all out for 159.

In reply, Chester made light work of reaching their total as they only lost one wicket.
