SALE Sharks new signing Neil Briggs has settled into life back at the AJ Bell Stadium well – and he is currently living with his younger brother Scott.
Brother Scott is leader for the HITZ Manchester programme. The course consists of a mixture of taught sessions, activities and time spent on the pitch playing different sports.
The course equips youngsters aged 16-18 with skills they need to progress into work, an apprenticeship or further education. All courses offer the opportunity to gain functional skills in English and Maths whilst working within a vocational area.
They gain work experience, as well as a chance to develop their confidence, teamwork and communication skills.
Neil admitted he is really pleased at the progress that Scott is making: “He is doing really well for the club and for the HITZ Programme.
“He’s got quite a lot of the youngsters on to different schemes and it does look like they are going back into work so he’s done really good in doing this.
“It’s a great programme and something I may look to do as well & help out with in the future. I am looking to move out from Scott’s house though!”
