SALE United Under-15s are celebrating after winning the Bolton International Super Cup.
During the first two days of competition the team faced tough opposition from U16 teams, but fought really hard, never giving up.
On Saturday they faced a Bolton Wanderers Institute side consisting of international players from Canada, Columbia, Iran and Kenya.
In the semi –final the Sale boys overcame an Atherton side who were the current Tameside First Division champions.
In the final versus Moorside Rangers the Sale side looked comfortable in a 3–0 victory.
Neil Lennon, the Bolton Wanderers manager was on hand to present the Sale side with their medals and championship cup.
Kate Flynn, Sale United’s team manager, Kate Flynn said: “To say I’m proud is an understatement.
"The boys were brilliant and a real credit to Sale United, acting with class and showing great sportsmanship throughout the four fantastic days of competition.”
