MORE than 50 volunteers helped out in a ground improvement weekend at Altrincham Kersal rugby club.
It was all part of the Natwest Rugby-Force initiative to try to get club facilities ready for the new season.
With the under-7’s out in force, and Alex & Jean Forbes representing the old guard there was a real mix of ages and jobs to cater for all.
John Paul Singleton, player, said; "It was great weekend and bacon butties were served up for breakfast while Eeron Cunningham took the lead on the afternoon BBQ.
"A big thank you to all who attended with special thanks to Jeff Atkins who managed the event and Mark Goodman from the RFU who helped organise and even did a spot of painting."
Pre-Season training is now in full swing with senior men and Colts training on Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm.
The women’s team and newly-formed under-16 girls team train on Thursdays from 7pm.
