ALL three Timperley sides won comfortably on Saturday, to cement second places in their receptive leagues

The first team travelled to in-form Cheadle Hulme and won by 56 runs.

Having been asked to bat first Mike Ness and Asif Iqbal built a solid base before the former was dismissed for 59.

Iqbal continue to provide excellent support for Josh Hampson (29) and Dave Howarth (37* from 13 balls) as Timperley finished on 245-4, Iqbal unbeaten on 92.

In reply, Cheadle Hulme started strongly and skipper Craig Grindley turned to spin in the form of brother Ian and Iqbal.

After both openers were removed wickets fell regularly as the hosts finished 56 runs short Ian Grindley finish with 5-37 and Iqbal rounding off a great day with 3-57.

They followed it up with victory against Lindow in the Cheshire Shield.

Timperley batted first and scored 277-7 from their 45 overs.

Craig Grindley 62, Asif Iqbal 74, Jack White 39 not out and Dan Cooper 39 all contributing to the large total.

In reply, only really the Lindow openers put up any resistance as they were routed for 89, Grindley picking up four cheap wickets at the end.

Elsewhere, the second team played a strong, previously unbeaten, Nantwich team at home.

They restricted the visitors to 228-4 from their 50 overs before a Rob Matthews 100 not out inspired an emphatic victory inside 41 overs.

Meanwhile, the third team had an early finish. Having bowled Haslington out for 116 (Haroon Bangee 4-44) Timperley only needed 27 overs to seal the victory, Will Lumb 67 not out.
