URMSTON'S recent upturn in results continued on Saturday after securing a winning draw against Middlewich.
Chris Turner's side lost toss and were put into bat.
They started brightly with Calum Turner and Brad Yates putting on 110 for the first wicket off only 20 overs before Calum Turner fell for 64.
Urmston continued to make steady progress with Yates carrying his bat for a well deserved 114 not out.
A quickfire 37 not out from Kris Dickinson ensured a Urmston reached 282.
In reply Urmston started well in the field by taking three quick wickets leaving Middlewich on 33-3 off 13 overs.
Unfortunately, Middlewich seemed quite content with a hard earned winning draw for Urmston.
Only a rapid 44 from Clowes in the last few overs, enabled Middlewich to achieve their total in a very negative innings.
Matthew Parkinson finishing with 3-42 while Joseph O'Connor also got in on the wicket-taking with 2-50.
Elsewhere, Wazid Ahmed's 30 was the highlight of a disappointing batting display for Urmston second team as they were all out for 150 against Hyde.
In reply, Hyde reached their target for the loss of just two wickets in 18.2 overs.
On Saturday, Chris Turner's first team will be on the road at bottom side Cheadle Hulme in the Vivio Cheshire First XI Division One followed by a clash with Alvanley in the Cheshire County Cup on Sunday.
