TIMPERLEY first team were back on track with a 66-run victory over Didsbury after being frustrated by rain last week.

Having lost the toss and being inserted for the third week running, Timperley made a solid start through Kiwi opener Dan Cooper (65) and partner Mike Ness (36).

Wickets fell regularly the opening partnership but a solid 46 from Josh Hampson helped Timperley limp to 189-8.

After the break, Timperley came out all guns blazing and Jack White kick started his season taking all the first five wickets.

Chris Page help clean up the tail with three wickets of his own.

Timperley bowled out Didsbury for 123 to go third in the league.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Timperley lost out by six wickets to Oulton Park in the Cheshire County Cup.

Cooper set the ball rolling with 112 at the top of the order while Nathan Brown and Asif Iqbal added 38 runs each but a tail-end collapse saw them finish on 239-7.

In reply, Oulton Park reached their target in 42.4 overs with Asif Iqbal was the pick of the bowlers with 2-29.
