Sale Ladies First team continued their goal-scoring play against Oxton in Division one on Saturday.
A very cold and windy exposed pitch on the Wirral spurred Sale into a great warm up which meant they started strongly.
Soon they converted the pressure into goals with Carol Savage and Jane Fylan taking the score to 2-0.
Oxton had great positional play which meant Sale had to rethink and regroup, but in true Sale spirit they dug deep and played some beautiful breakaway hockey.
Sale's defence turned quickly into attack. There were some great saves from keeper Sarah Bedward who stepped up after long periods of inactivity.
Four more goals were scored by Savage(2), Hargreaves and Edwards. The final score was a very pleasing 6-0, especially in the bad weather.
Sale 2s, who played Macclesfield also in Div One, are finally starting to get the results they need and deserve.
They again played really well to hold Macclesfield to a 1-1 draw. Rowley was assisted by Bebbington.
Onwards and upwards Sale 2s
