MANCHESTER Giants head into a testing weekend off the back of their second away win of the season.
Jeff Jones' men put a halt to a three-game losing streak with an impressive return to form on the south coast.
Guards Stefan Gill and Callum Jones led the Giants to a 91-80 victory in Plymouth to take their record to 6-6 before this weekend's double-header against Bristol Flyers (away on Saturday) and London Lions (home on Sunday).
Gill hit 20 points and made seven assists in a dogged display and Jones scored 18 and took seven rebounds with a vocal captain's performance.
Latvian hotshot Ingus Bankevics hit 14 and Ben Eaves had a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds on his return to his former club.
The Giants were level at 16-16 after the first quarter and took a 43-37 lead into the half-time break.
They edged into a 65-60 lead after three quarters and then built up an advantage of as much as 17 points in the fourth before sealing victory.
Coach Jones said: "Iām really pleased. It was just the response I was looking for.
"We have a tough weekend coming up against Bristol and our first clash with London this season.
"It's good that we are back on track ā now we have to prepare for two difficult games."
The Giants sit seventh in the BBL table.
