ENJOYING a break in action due to a bye in the first round of the cup, Trafforrd MV hope the rest will be good preparation for the North Lancs Div One clash at Burnley on Saturday.

The club has stuttered through the opening part of the season but still sit in fourth position while Burnley's indifferent form sees them in a lowly 9th place. However in the heat of the contest results cannot be taken for granted and MV will be looking for players to earn their shirt on Saturday.

Trafford MV head into the game on the back of a 65-0 thrashing of Birchfield whilst Burnley need to recover from a loss at Thornton Cleveleys 18-3.

The club will be holding a special coaching session with Lancashires Dan Birchhall working with the team ahead of this weeks game.

Trafford MV will be looking for their home grown talent to step up to the plate with Pat and Chris Eccles, Paul Davenport and Sean Garvey among others being influential 1st XV players having progressed through the Clubs mini/junior conveyor belt system to the 1st XV squad.

The club would like to see more lads from the borough playing rugby for teams from their area and invite anyone interested in playing to come and visit the club and take up the sport. The club will be showing the England vs South Africa game live on big screen and invite supporters to come down and enjoy the match.
