IN Division One, Old Altrinchamians are in fourth place after defeating bottom placed Northenden Victoria 3-0 away from home.

Atlantic FC are in seventh after comfortably seeing off ninth placed Kartel Sports 3-0. Knutsford are in eighth after defeating eleventh placed Swinton FC 3-2, Knutsford goals coming from Mark Evans (2) and Jamie Way.

In Division Two, Broadheath JFC kept the pressure on the leaders Moorlands after comprehensively beating seventh placed Wythenshawe Amateurs 5-1. Fourth placed Wendover AFC defeated sixth placed Unicorn Athletic 2-1 in a tight fixture, thanks to goals from Rikki Allen and Jamie Mackenzie. ZAPFC are in eighth after defeating 10th placed George FC 4-2, George FC’s consolation goals coming from Lungi Keswa and Jeffrey Kwong, with George FC’s strikes coming from Andrew Chapman, Ian Ferris, Mark Holford and Jamie Mcqueen.

In the League Cup, AFC Quarry annihilated previously unbeaten FC Woodford, James Pearce sublime volley gave Quarry and early lead, Cloherty drilled in from close range soon after, then goals from Whitecross, O’Driscoll and another from Pearce gave Quarry a resounding 5-0 half-time lead, Pearce went on to score two more in the second half and Whitecross added two more thus completing his hat-trick, Quarry progress into the League Cup semi-finals as strong favourites.
