Flixton girl brings home Canadian medals.

A FLIXTON girl is again celebrating snowboarding success.

While on a trip to Canada to visit her family, 10-year-old Bradie Zimmer-Collins booked in for a half pipe lesson at the Olympic Park.

Despite it only being her second time in the pipe, Bradie showed such impressive skills that she was invited to come back and compete the following day.

Entering the highly contested u13 girl section, Bradie battled against older and more experienced riders to take second place.

The result both shocked and delighted her, especially as it was the first time her father's family have been able to watch her compete.

It wasn't her first success in Canada though, a week before Bradie entered the Backyard Rail Jam; an annual contest held in Banff. Following a day of mountain riding it was a last minute decision to enter the competition, but one that proved to be very successful. Armed with training from local businesses Chill Factore and Maverix, Bradie came out top, taking first place in the u16 girls section.

In September, she became the British Indoor Champion in the female 12 and under section.
