SALE ladies went to Buckley Leisure Centre to play Northop Hall in Cheshire div 1 .
Sale made a good start but a mistimed pass by Sale's defence and a well taken goal found Sale one nil down.
Sale regrouped and had a good run of pressure playing some good fast passing hockey. A runaway chance meant a two-nil lead to Northop .
Again Sale kept on the pressure , managing to stay within the lines of the pitch and convert this to penalty corners Sarah Roberts slotted the first come back goal home. This score line (2-1) remained until half time.
Sale came out strongly after half time and peppered the goal with shots.
Northop managed to secure a third goal with one wave of attack. Sale came back again Sarah Roberts scored another penalty corner and Jane Fylan placed a penalty flick past the keeper . Megan Smith finished a very slick attack by Sale's right attack that had stemmed from the central defence .
Sale defence soaked up a period of pressure and penalty corners from the opposition but even player of the match goal-keeper Lisa Wilton couldn't do anymore when Northop's fourth goal crept over the line.
The final whistle went resulting in a 4-4 draw.
