AFC Quarry preserved their three point lead at the top of Division One thanks to a 0-3 win away at Sale Moor FC. Tom Carter bagged a brace against his former club before Tom Waring wrapped up the victory.
Sale Town and Broadheath Central FC, both whom started the weekend three points behind Quarry, went head-to-head with the latter coming out 0-3 winners.
Elsewhere in the top flight, Sale Amateurs overcame Knutsford FC 4-3 to move up to fifth place in the table, Flixton Juniors snatched a 1-2 win away at Atlantic FC to stretch their unbeaten league run to four matches and Swinton FC ended a sequence of four consecutive league defeats by beating Egerton FC 0-2 on their travels.
Kartel Sports’ scheduled match against Sale United was postponed.
Meanwhile in Division Two, Deans Youth extended their advantage at the summit to seven points on the back of a 2-0 victory against West Didsbury & Chorlton. Styal FC’s 3-1 win against Old Alts saw them move up to second place at the expense of Cheadle Hulme who drew 2-2 with Broadheath Central JFC.
Elsewhere in the second tier, Wendover AFC prevailed 3-2 against APFC to climb up to fourth spot, Northenden Victoria beat Unicorn Athletic 3-0 to complete a home and away league double against their opponents and Sale Town Reserves ended a five match losing streak with a 1-5 victory away at Grappenhall Sports.
