SALE Sharks' Rob Webber praised his team-mates after Friday's 36-26 win against Worcester Warriors.

Two scores from Sam James were followed by tries for Mike Haley, Byron McGuigan and Ben Curry to secure a bonus-point win at the AJ Bell Stadium.

Webber told the club's website: "We got level and then went in to the break ahead – that was massive for us and we were able to kick on from there.

"It's normally the last 20 minutes of games that let us down but [on Friday] I thought we were really good in that period.

"That might sound a bit contradictory because they scored another try at the end, but our energy levels were high and we worked really hard to get that win."

Meanwhile, there was more good news for Sharks this week with lock Andrei Ostrikov penning a new two-year deal with the club, Romanian prop forward Alexandru Tarus joining on a similar contract and Jono Ross signing for three years from Stade Francais.
