SALE Sharks warmed up for a big four weeks in the Aviva Premiership with a dominant LV Cup victory over Scarlets.

Sharks will be looking to climb from their current eighth place over the next month before they take a three-week break from league action.

They kick off on Sunday with an away game against bottom club London Welsh (2.30pm kick off) from which they will be targeting maximum points.

Then over the next three weeks they host third-placed Saracens and travel to sixth-placed Leicester and second-placed Bath.

The outcome of those games could make a huge difference to their league position as Sale go into the period just five points behind third.

Sharks ended their LV Cup campaign with a six-try 38-3 win against Scarlets last Saturday.

Despite not being able to qualify for the semi-finals after defeats at Leicester and Newcastle, the Sharks named a strong side and were always in control from the moment Dan Braid crashed over the line after just three minutes.

They romped into a 21-3 half-time lead before dominating the second period.
