TAMWORTH 0 ALTRINCHAM 2

Altrincham secured their first ever win at Tamworth, thanks to two second half goals in a game played in very gusty winds. Tamworth had the better of the first half but Altrincham had a good spell in the early part of the half.

Playing into the wind in the second half, Altrincham produced an excellent performance. Following a foul on Senior, Doughty drove home a fine freekick from the front edge of the box in the 71st minute. And Alty doubled their lead after 87 minutes. Fine work by Denham on the right led to a shot from Kearney, which Alcock fumbled. McAliskey netted the loose ball.

Alty move up to 9th.
