ALTRINCHAM will kick off the new National League North campaign with a home clash against Darlington 1883 at Moss Lane.

The fixtures for the new campaign were released yesterday afternoon and the Robins were handed a home opener on August 6 against the ex-league side from the North East.

In a tricky opening week, Neil Young takes his side to face FA Trophy winners FC Halifax Town just four days later for the first away game under the new regime.

Then Alty head back across the Pennines again on the second Saturday of the new season to take on Harrogate Town.

There are several big dates for Robins fans to relish next season with several derby dates to pencil onto their calendars.

Arguably the biggest will see Young's team take on FC United of Manchester in a festive double header in the space of seven days.

FC will visit what is sure to be a packed Moss Lane on Boxing day before the reverse fixture at Broadhurst Park on New Year's Day.

Alty will be looking to start the new year with a bang in north Manchester.

Newly-promoted Salford City visit the J.Davidson Stadium on November 12 with the reverse fixture against the team owned by Manchester United's Class of '92 on April 1, 2017.

Altrincham's final outing before Christmas sees them visit Stockport County on Saturday, December 17 with the Hatters making the short trip to Moss Lane first on Saturday, September 3 – a fixture that falls on Non-League Day.

Another match-up that will be of interest to Robins fans will be the clashes against Chorley.

Fans' favourite Scott Leather and Josh O'Keefe both moved to the Lancashire side from Altrincham – the former turning down new terms at Altrincham to leave.

The pair will be back at the J.Davidson Stadium to face their former employers three days after the Stockport clash on Tuesday, September 6.

Altrincham make the short trip to Curzon Ashton on Easter Saturday, April 15, before a home game against Kidderminster Harriers on Bank Holiday Monday, two days later.

Young's men will wrap up their National League North season on Saturday, April 29, at Tamworth.

The Robins kick off their pre-season games with a friendly at Widnes' Halton Stadium on Sunday, kick off 2pm.
