UA Manchester Titanium, a Senior Coed Cheer team from Trafford School of Gymnastics Cheer, competed and won their division at Jamfest Europe International Cheer Championships on Sunday 23rd June at the Liverpool ECHO Arena. TSG Cheer: UA Manchester also enjoyed success with Cobalt Senior Level 1 2nd Place, Mercury Junior Level 1 5th Place and Neon Mini Level 1 7th Place. UA Manchester Titanium trains one weekend per month and faced a number of challenges this season as they worked to compete at a higher level for the first time. First-Year member Gabrielle Feld commented, “I had the best season ever and winning just topped everything off perfectly! I have learnt so much this year and I'm better for it.”

This was the 2nd year that Trafford School of Gymnastics has hosted a competitive cheer programme for athletes aged 4-Adult under Programme Director Marie Jenkinson. With a background in competitive cheer in the United States, Marie has worked for some of the biggest cheer industry leaders in the USA and UK since 1999. UA Manchester prides itself on developing athletes as individuals and growing athletic confidence through tumbling, stunts, dance, leadership and performance. Athletes of all abilities are encouraged to try competitive cheer with UA Manchester to find out what an exciting and demanding team sport it can be. In addition to competitions, TSG Cheer: UA Manchester athletes perform at community and national events including the Queen’s Jubilee visit to Manchester 2012, ADIDAS Headquarters Olympic Torch event, and How to Be Epic at Everything on CBBC. TSG Cheer: UA Manchester is hosting an informational evening for parents on 10th July 2013 as well as training sessions in August for potential and returning members at the Trafford School of Gymnastics.
