A LEADING Altrincham player in the 60s and early 70s has died.
Striker John Worth died after a short battle with cancer.
Between 1963/64 and 1971/72, he made more than 200 appearances for the club and netted 119 goals.
He was a key member of the team in that period, when his team-mates included Jackie Swindells.
