THERE was a turn-out of 21 teams at Altrincham Golf Club to support the charity day for ‘Help the Heroes’, organised by Topps Tiles.

And thanks to the players and sponsors Control CCTV, Eagle Golf, BAL, Warmpup Fila, Kronospan, the Old Hall and Marstons Brewery the day raised a total of £2,338.

The team winners representing Fila comprised Nick Walch, who was also the top individual, Gary Curtis, Anthony Rowlands and Chris Whalley.

Chris Whalley said: “As the event organiser I wasn’t sure what to expect but everything went fantastically well.

“Everyone enjoyed a great day out on a fantastic course prepared brilliantly by Paul Murray and his staff and we look forward to doing it again.”
