SALE completely overwhelmed Fleetwood on their first visit to Heywood Road. Tries from Josh Allan and Jack Rigby, plus an Andy Rowley conversion ensured Sale had a twelve point lead in just eight minutes.

Despite a brief period of pressure from the visitors’, Sale continued to dominate and tries from Giles Dugdale, Nathan Bailey and Joe Kelly plus two more conversions from Rowley piled on the misery for Fleetwood as Sale led 31-0 at half time.

Worse was to follow for the visitors’ as further tries by Danny Waddy, Giles Dugdale (2) and Josh Allan, with Rowley adding each conversion put Sale 59-0 ahead on the hour.

In the closing quarter Dugdale scored his fourth try of the day, with Mike Swetman and Greg Jacob also touching down, and Rowley also raised his number of successful conversions to ten as Sale reached 80 points without reply to put them back on top of the table on point’s difference over Vale of Lune.
