A FLIXTON girl has scooped a British snowboarding title.

Nine year old Bradie Zimmer-Collins, pictured, became the British Indoor Champion in the female 12 and under section on Saturday - despite being the youngest competitor in the section.

Bradie came out on top against strong opposition from members of the GB snowboard team in the annual competition in Leeds.

As well as the title she also received £200 worth of vouchers.

It’s been quite a year for Bradie who, following an amazing first season on the competition circuit, was recently offered sponsorships from both the Chill Factore and Ride Snowboards.

Bradie then went on to compete in the overall women’s title against riders more than twice her age, making the semi finals and coming a highly respectable 5th.
