SALE Judo Club is having success both on and off the mat.
The club, situated on Broad Road, Sale, has recently sent one of its members to Mongolia to train with the Mongolian Olympic Judo squad. Black belt Bilegt Khasar spent two weeks with the squad and is still over there.
Away from the mats, the club is raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support, the charity that helped its founder, Sensai Akinori Hosaka, 8th Dan, in his fight against cancer.
Mr Hosaka died two years ago and the club is keen to honour its founder and has recently been renamed Hosaka Kwai Judo Club Sale in memory of him.
