NORTH Trafford Athletic (NTA) u-10s completed a fantastic season when they won a tense cup final against Wythenshawe Amateurs on Sunday May 20, in the Timperley & District Junior Football League (Division 4).

Stretford-based NTA won 4-3 on penalties after the closely-fought match went into extra time.

The win capped a remarkable season for NTA under-10s, who also won division 4 of the Timperley and District Junior Football League – finishing eight points ahead of their nearest rival. They lost just one game throughout the season.

Coach George Stones said: “The team has worked very hard this season. To win both the league and the cup is a fantastic achievement. The boys certainly deserve their day in the sun.”

Their home ground is at Longford Park, Stretford.
