IN the recent Cheshire Festival the AK Under 8s played some of their best rugby of the season to beat Stockport by five tries to 1 to win the Vase Final.

The AK Under 10s won all their games in the pool stages, and in the quarter final beat Chester before losing the semi final against Lymm by two tries to nil.

Likewise the AK Under 11s were unbeaten in the pool stages but lost in a very close quarter final by 1 try to nil against Lymm.

On Sunday in the Wilmslow Festival the AK Under 12s won all their pool games and then saw off Chester to progress to the final, where they played Nant Conwy. The final ended in a draw but AK were awarded the trophy on overall tries scored in the competition.

Also on Sunday the AK Under 15s warmed up for their Cheshire Plate Final with a 47 – 0 win over Liverpool St Helens. Tries were scored by Rory Entwistle (3 in 10 minutes), Will Price, Alexander Fry, Adam Welton, Tim Warren and Eddie Brady (2), with one conversion.
