IN National League 3 North, AK travelled to Burnage missing several regulars due to injury.

Despite this AK were well in the game until late in the second half, but eventually went down 34 – 10.

Callum Yates scored AK’s try and Chris Stewart added a conversion and penalty.

Next Saturday AK play their last game of the season at home to Penrith, which is followed by the captain’s dinner awards night.

On Sunday AK Junior Colts beat Ashton on Mersey 71 – 10 with tries from Mike Eccleston, Dom Howell, Nick Foster (2), John Coulson, Jonny Dodds. Jack Posnett, Sam Hunter, Brad Robinson and Calum Robinson who also kicked eight conversions.

AK Under 15s finished runners-up in a four-team tournament hosted by Wilmslow. AK beat Sedgeley Park 5-0 and Wilmslow 5-0 before losing in the final 17-7 to Leicestershire champions Market Harborough. AK’s tries were scored by Alexander Fry (2), Adam Welton with a conversion by Lucas Columb.

AK Under 13s beat Wilmslow 25 - 20 with tries from Adam Cosgrove (3), Henry Brownlow and Joe Daulby.

AK Under11s beat Wirral 49 -14, with tries from Tom Pye, Will Webb (2), Tom Begg, Chris Schofield, Cameron Ross and Tom Sullivan.
