Ladies European Tour Professional, Rachel Bell makes Sale her new home

SALE residents have a new sporting neighbour in the form of Bradford-born Rachel Bell.

Rachel, 29, plays on the Ladies European Tour.

She a former amateur international and was a regular member of the Yorkshire squad, winning the Yorkshire title back to back in 2005 and 2006.

Rachel’s first year on the Ladies European Tour was in 2008, but her career was put on hold when she contracted glandular fever and took 18 months to recover.

She played the 2010 season on the Ladies Access Series, a feeder tour for the LET and the Spanish Banesto Tour where she earned her first professional win at the Madrid Masters in May last year.

Rachel earned full playing rights for the LET in 2011 by finishing in ninth place and the highest ranked UK golfer at qualifying school in La Manga Spain in December 2010.
