TASC (The Altrincham Supporters' Club) are aiming to play their part in helping Alty manager Graham Heathcote build a squad capable of consolidating and improving on last season's achievement of 15th in the Blue Square Premier.
The recent demise of Setanta has reduced the club's projected revenue for the next 12 months by about £80,000 which is more than 20 per cent of the wage budget for the coming season.
TASC are setting up an SOS (Strengthen Our Squad) Fund with an objective of raising £10,000 during the season.
TASC chairman Brian Flynn said: "As a supporters' group we want to play our part in helping the manager put the best possible squad together and we hope that Altrincham supporters will help out financially either by making a single donation or by a regular standing order.“ “The amount is a tough, but achievable, objective but we are appealing to all Altrincham supporters to help by donating whatever they can afford.”
TASC will be setting up a separate bank account for this fund and if you would like to make a donation, then please contact Mike Ainsworth at sales@altrinchamfootballclub.co.uk
