PREPARATION for the new season has begun at Bowdon Rugby Club with the start of a demanding pre-season schedule which aims to get the squad into top condition before the first games in September.
To support their ambition the club have appointed two new coaches in Sale Sharks and Scotland internationals Josh Strauss and Byron McGuigan, who will bring a fresh and professional edge.
The two new coaches are integrating themselves into the club culture and while focusing on the seniors section, they will also be will be involved throughout the club including the minis and juniors.
The Bowdon first XV have set themselves some tough targets this coming season and will look to push on from their fifth-place finishes in the last two seasons and challenge for promotion.
Bowdon run three vibrant senior sides and have a very successful mini's and juniors section, and so are able to offer access to rugby for all ages and abilities.
