FLIXTON Golf Club have a busy year ahead as they celebrate their 125th anniversary.
They got the celebrations off to a flying start with a pro-am supported by the Lancashire PGA, led by Andy Duncan and with Proman Recruitman as the main sponsor.
It was a great day hosted by Flixton legend John Dowd for part of the club’s anniversary with16 teams competing around a superbly-presented course.
PGA secretary Andy Duncan said: “It was a clockwork-run event from start to finish with a relaxed atmosphere in keeping with this friendly golf club and all the best to them this year and for the next 125 years."
