TIMPERLEY Conservative Club came out on top in the clash of the top two in the Altrincham and Sale Round the Board Darts League last week.
Up against Central Broadheath, the leaders started quickly with five straight wins courtesy of Darren Buckley, Andy Brownhill, Andy Kindred, Ian McCulloch and John Chisnall.
Central saved their blushes by pulling one back with Chris White taking the sixth game before the Cons finished things off with Gary Sullivan taking the last to seal a 6-1 triumph.
Elsewhere, British Rail beat Gardeners 5-2 so keep them in third place, while Cringlewood hit form and beat Station 7-0, leaving them in fourth.
Budenburgs also had a 7-0 win against Old Hall.
