SECOND-placed Timperley Cons edged their battle with fourth-placed Central Club 4-3 on Monday in the Altrincham and Sale Round the Board Darts League.
Central took an early lead, winning the first two games, but Cons bounced back and levelled the match at 3-3.
In the final game, Central's Darren Wood took the first leg but Cons captain Andy Brownhill took the next two, winning the match.
Leaders Budenburgs beat fifth placed Brooklands Tap 5-2 and with two matches left to play they are now in a strong position to take the title.
Third-placed British Rail had a good match against the Orange Tree, winning 5½-1½.
Elsewhere, Station took the points from Railway Sale, Stone Mason beat the Bricklayers and Railway Altrincham had a bye.
