BROOKLANDS third XI finished their season with an impressive win at Alderley Park which should ensure a top-half finish and their status in the higher third XI league next season.
The visitors batted first and all six used batsmen chipped in with scores around a typically-aggressive 94 from the team's elder statesman Ross Willard as the Bears declared after 42 overs with a score of 210-6.
This left them 48 overs to dismiss their hosts and only 42 of them were needed as Park folded to 135 all out.
Wickets were shared around the side as captain Cameron Buchan took 2-33 in 11 overs and Dave Cunliffe 2-8.
But all the action happened in the final 13 balls in leg-spinner Dheeraj Geetala's 1.1 overs, as he cleaned up the tail to take three wickets for two runs.
