STRETFORD Cricket Club's under-15s beat Woodford to win the South Manchester Junior League Cup on Sunday.
Hosts Woodford batted first and were bowled out for 61 with Ethan Page and Yash Raj picking up four wickets each.
Stretford scored the 62 required for victory without losing a wicket, Thomas Coulson and Raj seeing them home.
Neither the first nor the second team bowled a ball on a wet Saturday meaning both now need a point on the last day of the season to gain promotion.
A second team win will mean they will go up as champions.
The third team did play, beating Worsley at Lesley Road on Sunday.
Worsley batted first and were bowled out for 146.
All the Stretford bowlers performed well with Paddy Lambton taking four early wickets and Mark Coulson mopping up the tail with four wickets in only four overs.
Stretford scored the runs required for the loss of four wickets, Hamish Jefferson (39) and veteran John Foulkes (46 not out) scoring the bulk of the runs.
