TWO centuries helped Flixton to a comprehensive win at Edgworth in Greater Manchester Cricket League's Premier League on Saturday.

Luke Perry hit an unbeaten 127 and Marlon Welcome-Goodman 119 to seal a 126-run triumph.

Openers Usman Tariq and Perry put some early runs on the board before the former fell for 23.

This saw two brothers Ash and Luke Perry at the crease but the partnership was short-lived as captain Ash headed back to the pavilion after scoring just two runs.

Alton Beckford (nine) also had a poor innings before fellow West Indian, Welcome-Goodman, marched out to the wicket. Perry and Goodman put on a fine display with Goodman scoring 119 before being caught on the boundary by Liam Watkinson. Flixton batted the overs scoring a massive 313-4 against a depleted Edgworth.

Edgworth's openers were not sticking around as the second innings saw big-hitter Welcome-Goodman quickly bowl out Simon Lord.

Adil Baig was quick to have an effect as well, bowling out Edgworth's B Ernst.

Summit Panda was hard to tame for Flixton as he passed his century but Connor De'ath set him up perfectly for a catch by Luke Perry.

De'ath went on to take four wickets, bringing Edgworth's innings to an end on 187.
