WITH just over three weeks remaining before the season concludes, the Trafford Companies All Stars football league's top spot is still is up for grabs, and with three teams chasing their first ever title it is looking like an exciting finale.

Barclays are in the mix after they beat leaders Autocab 5-3 at BTH college.

The game started at pace but with both defences on top and there were few clear-cut chances.

It took 35 minutes for the deadlock to be broken with Barclays winger Dom Beckitt slotting home from close range.

With the Autocab defence shaken, Barclays front man Rhys Jones took advantage and put his side 2-0 up going into the half-time break.

The second half saw Jones score again to make it 3-0.

With the game looking out of reach, Autocab mounted a determined comeback with Conor Downes converting from the spot and then scoring twice to level the proceedings.

It could have been more for Autocab as they piled on the pressure, but Barclays goalkeeper Ben Raby put in his finest performance of the season to keep his team in the game.

It was a Barclays side full of grit and confidence however, and with commanding performances from Mark Kelly in defence and Paul Splaine in midfield it wasn't long before Jones netted two more to make the final score 5-3.
