AFC Urmston Meadowside is hosting a ‘Girls Football Open Day’ at the club’s home ground of Lees Field on Sunday, June 26, between 12 noon and 2pm.
All girls who wish to play football or are interested in joining one of the club’s many girls teams are invited to come along and join in. AFC Urmston Meadowside are a very well established community club and have just been awarded the North West Charter Standard Community Club of the Year award by the FA. The club prides itself on the development of young boys and girls within the local community and one of its former U9s girls recently signed a professional contract with Manchester City Ladies. The invitation is open to girls currently in school years 3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9. Events will include 5-a-side, penalty kick competitions and ball skills.
