ALTRINCHAM boss Neil Young has boosted his attacking options with the acquisition of free-scoring midfielder Sean Miller from Connah’s Quay Nomads.

Speedy right winger Miller, a multi-award winner in his time with the Nomads, becomes the latest addition to a rebuilt Altrincham squad that is rapidly taking shape for the forthcoming Vanarama National League North campaign.

A graduate of Chester's youth system who was given his breakthrough at senior level by Young, Miller, who turned 21 last month, made it into the first team squad towards the end of the 2013/14 season.

He joined Connah’s Quay that summer and made an immediate impact, scoring 11 goals in 35 appearances and virtually swept the board when the individual awards were dished out by the club and the league.

At the club’s presentation evening, he picked up a hat-trick of gongs as he was voted players’ player-of-the-year and supporters’ player-of-the-year and finishing as top scorer.

On top of that, he was named Welsh Premier League young player of the year at the league’s annual awards.

Young had no hesitation linking up with him for a second time after hearing of his availability and the Alty manager said: "Sean is a player I worked with at Chester where, after he came through the youth system, I gave him his senior debut.

"He subsequently moved on to Connah’s Quay Nomads, where, 12 months ago, he was named Welsh Premier League young player of the year.

"He is quick and direct. He has a great attitude, wants to do well and, at just 21, has plenty of time to continue his development."
