THE members of the 160-years old Stretford Cricket Club are gearing up for a new season.

A number of new senior players have joined the club for the 2016 season and the junior membership, with nearly 100 members, is as strong as ever in terms of both numbers and quality.

The club has moved to the new Greater Manchester League and will be fielding senior teams in each of its four divisions. Juniors practice on Monday evenings and the seniors on Thursdays.

Anyone or any group interested in membership of the club - based at The Boundary, off Urmston Lane, Stretford - or in using its facilities should contact chairman Paul McGuffog [07803 697814], cricket director Guy Robinson [07879 623390] or communications manager Paul Walmsley [07815 630834]. Sponsorship enquiries should be directed to Paul Derbyshire [07968 680346].
