ALTRINCHAM Kersal are 11 points clear at the top of South Lancs/Cheshire Division One following a 35-12 home victory over Bowdon.
They completed the double over their fourth-bottom opponents, and drew first blood when they asserted their physical side early in the game with a rolling maul from the 22m which ended in John Geddis touching down.
Bowdon responded with by putting points on the board before Altrincham took control and further tries fromJames Coulson and Pete Kilburn gave them a 20-5 half-time lead.
Callum Yates, Sean Clayton and JP Singleton scored in the second half to give a full-time score which was a fair reflection of a game which saw Kersal's powerful pack and pacey backs prove just a little too much for Bowdon.
