MANCHESTER Giants will head for Plymouth Raiders on Friday night looking to repeat their win of a few weeks ago over the south coast side.
The Giants have not won since crushing the Raiders at the Trafford Sportsdome early this month.
Since then they have gone on a three-match BBL losing run that coach Jeff Jones is keen to bring to an end.
On Sunday the Giants were undone by a third-quarter surge from the rising Cheshire Phoenix, going down 99-82.
Jones’ men held their own with their visitors in the first half, taking the first quarter 19-16 and remaining in touch at 49-42 down at half-time.
But Cheshire proved too strong after the break.
An impressive 29 points and 18 rebounds from American ace Demond Watt hurt the Giants.
And while he was the stand-out, fellow US stars Mike DiNunno (20) and Taylor King (18), made key contributions.
The Giants, in front of a large home crowd that included plenty of Cheshire visitors, were led by 20 points each from Stefan Gill and Callum Jones but it was not enough to stop them sinking to a disappointing loss.
Jones wants his men to bounce back on Friday night, saying: "There wasn't enough intensity and selflessness against Cheshire.
"We need to get back on track again and regain our momentum."
The Giants now sit in seventh place in the BBL table with a 5-6 record.
