TENNIS star and internationally experienced coach Hollie Bees has been appointed by Altrincham's Claremont Tennis Club in a bid to expand its coaching programme following their LTA Clubmark status accreditation.

The former professional tennis player arrives at the club with a wealth of experience having coached at both club and performance level and boasts a glittering career of her own where she achieved a WTA ranking and competed regularly on the International Tennis Federation circuit.

Hollie is currently completing her LTA Senior Performance Coaching qualification as she looks to enhance the club's offering with the launch of a performance and competition based coaching programme alongside the club's current thriving infrastructure.

The club's growth will improve the opportunities throughout from grassroots to the elite tier.

The key coaching appointment will also see Hollie work with the next generation of tennis stars to increase the number of participants taking up the sport, through a series of fun initiatives.

Hollie said: "I am delighted to be taking over the programme at Claremont Lawn Tennis Club – it's a fantastic club with great potential.
